  1. Why is my computer crashing and force restarting, even at idle.

I have checked my windows event log and I am continuously getting Kernel-Power code 41. The computer crashes at any given time. nothing triggers it. It can be idle, gaming, or working. I have completely uninstalled windows and reinstalled it with no fix. I have updated my BIOS. This has happened to me a total of 9 times in the past 7 days. This is a brand new computer. Hardware will be listed at the bottom. This is the event message that shows up:<Event xmlns="http://schemas.microsoft.com/win/2004/08/events/event">- <System> <Provider Name="Microsoft-Windows-Kernel-Power

  2. Computer crashes and restarts periodically

    Hello Kurt,

Thank you for posting your query in Microsoft Community.

I will be glad to help you with the issue you have with the computer. I understand the frustration when things don't work the way it should.

What is the make and model of your computer?

What is the anti-virus program on the computer?

I suggest you to try the following steps:

Uninstall and Reinstall the Graphics Card Drivers.

Step 1: Uninstall the Graphics Card
    Drivers

    • Press “Windows Logo” + “X” keys on the keyboard.

    • Click on “Device Manager” from that list.

    • Search for the Graphics Card
from the device list, right click on it and then select “Uninstall”. On the un-installation window, if you have an option: “Delete the driver software for this device” you may select that and then remove the corrupted drivers
      from the computer.

    • Follow the on-screen instructions to complete it and then restart the computer if prompted.
After the restart, please go ahead with the next steps to install the latest drivers and check if that resolves the issue.

Update Driver Software from the Manufacturer’s website:

Step 2: Go to the Computer or Graphics Card
manufacturer’s website and search for the latest Windows 10 drivers available for the
Graphics Card model and then install it by following the instructions given in the website.

I hope this helps you. If you have any further query in future, feel free to contact us. We will be happy to help you.

    Thank you

    Bluetooth still on while idle

Thanks for following the steps. Now, the settings won't take effect if you are only using normal PC idle mode. Normal functionality of Bluetooth and Wi-Fi settings are to stay connected even if PC is idle. With the settings that you have created, we would
suggest that you set your PC to automatically go to Sleep or
    Hibernate
once idle. In this way, the settings "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power" should take effect.

To set your PC to automatically go to Sleep or Hibernate when idle, please follow these steps:

    • Open Control Panel, set view by: Small
      icons.
    • Look for Power Options.
    • Click on Change when the computer sleeps on the left pane.
    • Set a timer.

Please try it out. Hope it helps. If you have any other concerns, don't hesitate to come back to us.

  4. Why is my computer crashing and force restarting, even at idle.

Computer crashes randomly or when idle

As the title says, my computer has been crashing lately, either a black screen or the image on my monitor freezes, I'm then forced to power off the computer by holding the power button for a bit as it is completely unresponsive. It usually happens when I leave my computer idle for a bit, but recently it crashed while I was working.

I found this error in event viewer:

The computer has rebooted from a bugcheck. The bugcheck was: 0x00000116 (0xffff9889842a1010, 0xfffff8066f42cfe8, 0xffffffffc000009a, 0x0000000000000004). A dump was saved in: C:\Windows\MEMORY.DMP. Report Id: 96934725-4457-496f-b5a7-282b36447017.

However, it is inconsistent, as it sometimes it shows that there was a bugcheck, and other times it doesn't.
