Windows 10: Why is my computer freezing after I close graphically intense games? Red dead redemption 2

Recently after playing RDR2 for an extended amount of time, when I close the game my computer lags for 5-10 seconds then completely freezes...about one out of three times requiring a hard reset. It never affects the game, only when I exit the program that the computer locks up. It's rather alarming and I'm at a loss. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. .Asus laptop, 2080 super max Q, i7 10th gen..I've done 2 safemode clean uninstall/reinstalls of nvidea drivers.DX12 vs vulcan.Lower resolutions and graphics.SFC scans.Memory diagnostics tool.Assigned physx to CPU actually help

Red Dead Redemption 2 delayed until Spring 2018


Red Dead Redemption 2 is now coming in Spring 2018

Is anyone here actually old enough to remember the last time Rockstar put out a game that hadn't been delayed at least once? The new screenshots are gorgeous though. If they look this good on console, I can only imagine how good the game will look if Rockstar actually brings it to PC.

My favorite game, sadly, is Red Dead Redemption. But my experience playing it in

multi-player tells me it's not Rockstars favorite game. How they can justify selling

the game advertising on line multiplaying, is beyond me. And they are coming out

with RDR 2 ? Frankly, I think they ought to be sued over RDR one !
