Windows 10: Why is my computer having issues w/ flash drives?

I have been wanting to save my files, photos, etc. to a flash drive and wipe my computer back to factory state, but obviously am not as good at it as I thought I was lol as I bought a new 1 TB flash drive-saved ALOT of my files to it as it's a process I have alot of **** I tried opening it to continue w/ my task of saving all-and it said "USB device not recognized-the last usb device you connected to this computer malfunctioned, & windows does not recognize it"..& in my control panel it said "unknown usb devicedevice descriptor request failed-driver error"...so I bought another one1

Computer booting up slow and unable to add files to flash drive

I suggest you to run System Maintenance Troubleshooter.
Follow these steps to run System Maintenance troubleshooter:

• Press Windows key + W and type troubleshooting.
• Select Troubleshooting.
• Select View all on the top left corner.
• Click System Maintenance.
• Follow the on-screen instruction to run the troubleshooter.

I suggest you to place the computer in Clean boot
and check.

Putting your system in Clean Boot state helps in identifying if any third party applications or startup items are causing the issue. You need to follow the steps from the article mentioned below to perform a Clean Boot:

Note: After clean boot troubleshooting steps, refer to the section "How to reset the computer to start as usual after troubleshooting with clean boot" in the provided link to return your computer
to Normal startup mode.

With regards to USB flash drive as its not working with different computers as well, you may need to get in touch with the USB flash drive manufacturer.

Flash drives names

The "troubleshooter" did not report any anomalies.

As I indicated, the flash drives sometimes appear w/their correct names in File Explorer and
sometimes they are listed w/their generic drive names. ["E:", "G"] The problem is random. [But they ALWAYS have the correct names in Computer Management] This issue did not occur in Win 8. Thanks for trying.
