Computer won't connect to wifi at certain places

I am computer literate, and am not just confused. I have a lenovo y50, with windows 10. It connects to WiFi at home, church, McDonald's and other places fine. The one place it just refused to work is school. Everyone's Windows 7, 8, 8.1 devices work fine.
My phone, and everyone else's works fine. BUT, my computer won't work. I can see the network(s), but when I try to connect, it says connection failed, no matter what. I talked to the tech support at the school and they couldn't help me. I booted into a live
USB with Linux on one of the school computers and made a WiFi network. (their computer was connected via Ethernet)

It would not connect to that network, and I configured that one to death. Open, secured with all different securities, nothing worked. What do I need to do to get my computer to connect?

  3. wifi connection problem

    Hi,

To better assist you with the WiFi connection issue, please answer the following questions:

    • Are your other devices able to connect to the same WiFi connection and working fine?
    • Have you tried to restart your WiFi router?
    • Which OS build version is currently running to your phone?
    • What are the troubleshooting steps that you've tried so far?

    Regards.

Why is my computer not connecting to wifi at home but connects fine at other places?

When will the wifi connectivity problems be solved?

OK, so the Windows 10 engineers bollixed up the wifi connectivity part of the operating system. Everybody knows that by now. It seems they are making some progress in resolving it. Now, instead of seeing "Secured, No Internet" on your list of wifi connections, you see "Connected, Secured" EXCEPT no webpages will load. So you really aren't connected. It does seem to be a step in the right direction. Does anybody know when they plan on a full and complete repair of this screw up of epic proportions?
