Windows 10: Why is my computer not letting me connect to the internet?

My computer will not let me connect to the internet/wifi. Every time I try it doesn't even give me the option. It tells me that I have to use a ethernet cable, but I don't use ethernet nor have I ever used it. It seems like my computer is ignoring that wifi exist. It is quite bizarre and I am absolutely clueless. I've tryed everything I've seen on youtube and what not and nothing works. This is practically my last resort.

Connecting computer with no internet connection to network printer

1. Open Admin command and type: ipconfig
   
   
   
2. Win+X->Control Panel->Netwok and Sharing Center
   Follow the screen shot. This should disable internet access from this PC but allows access to local device(s)
   NOTE: Use the IP & Subnet Mask from step 1. Leave Default gateway & DNS Server blank

I understand that applications show that you are not connected to Internet. I’ll certainly help you with this issue.



However, please let us know:

• How is the computer connected to Internet i.e. Ethernet or Wi-Fi?
  
• Are you aware of any changes made on the computer prior to this issue?
  
• Which build version of Windows 10 is installed on the computer? To check type:
  winver in the search bar on the Taskbar and hit
  Enter.
  

I would suggest you to try changing the network connection i.e. if the computer is connected to Internet through Wi-Fi, try using Ethernet and check if that helps.

Set Broadband Internet Connection Network Configuration

Upon analyzing the details you have provided, kindly run the
Network and Internet Troubleshooter
and check if there's any changes. To run the
troubleshooter,
follow these steps:

• 
  On the search bar, type
  Troubleshooting.
  
• 
  Choose
  Network and Internet.
  
• 
  Run the following
  Troubleshooter:
  
  • 
    Internet Connections.
    
  • 
    Network Adapter.
    
  • 
    Incoming Connections.
    

If the issue persists, we suggest that you try to
renew
your
IP address. To do this, follow these steps:

• 
  Open
  Command Prompt
  as
  Administrator.
  
• 
  Type the following command:
  
  • 
    Ipconfig/release
    and hit
    Enter.
    
  • 
    Ipconfig/renew
    and hit
    Enter.
    
  • 
    Exit.
