Why is my Computer scanning every morning for my phone and for 32 bit HP?

I do not have a phone attached to my Computer system. I am 81, and still use a Flip Phone, just talk & text, no Internet attached, so my Computer should not be using CPU's to scan for my phone. And my system is 64 bit, not 32 bit and it scans every morning for HP 32 bit. I know when it is happening because it pretty much locks me up, so I manage to get Task Manager up so I can END those processes. And when I try to bring up Task Manager, it takes forever, saying "Not responding" which of course I already know, because I am already frozen where I cannot even get out of Edge, until I EN

    Windows 10 Upgrade 32-bit to 64-bit

So, Windows 10 Upgrade is being rolled out worldwide, and I have 'reserved' my upgrade.

Currently my computer is running Windows 7 Pro 32-bit. I'm planning to 'upgrade' it to Windows 10 64-bit (via fresh install, of course).

After reading many references, these will be the steps I'll do:

    1. Let the "Get Windows 10" app upgrade my OS to Windows 10 32-bit
    2. Note the activation key
    3. Download the Installation Media for Windows 10, but choosing 64-bit instead
    4. Perform a clean install
    5. Reactivate using the activation key in Step #2

(Of course I'll backup my data first.)

However, I still have some questions:

    1. On Windows 7, the activation key does not differ between 32- or 64-bit versions. Is it still so with Windows 10?
    2. Will I be able to download a different architecture on Step #3?
    3. Is there anything I need to prepare beforehand?

    Thank you for your assistance.

  3. unable to scan to computer

My HP Envy 4524 printer set up using HP website and prints fine using wireless connection. However, when attempting a scan printer window message saying no computer found. I have read various suggestions indicating web scan may need to be enabled on
my laptop, but the steps suggested could not be followed as I think they may refer to an earlier version of windows. Can anyone suggest how I might get my scan to computer enabled using windows 10?

    32-bit OS compatible desktops

Looking for any suggestions on a machine that is compatible with 32-bit Windows 10 Pro. Only requirements are 32-bit compatible, at least 500 GB hard drive and at least 6 USB slots.

I was sold an HP EliteDesk 705 when I stated I needed a system that either came with or could have Windows 10 Pro 32-bit installed on it. When i went to clean install 32-bit on the machine, I found out the 705 doesn't have 32-bit drivers and I can't downgrade
from 64 to 32. I need the machine to have 32-bit installed as opposed to running a virtual machine bc the main purpose of the machine is to act as a server for a program that requires 32-bit for hosting.

After talking with HP sales support, i was told to customize one of their machines with "freeDos 2.0" but they couldn't come up with any of their machines I could actually do that with. Does anyone else have any suggestions? All our other tech is HP right
now, so I wanted to stick with them, but I'm open to anything at all at this point.

    Thanks!
