Windows 10: Why is my computer slower and not connecting to one of my monitors?

Hi! I use an average gaming pc with two monitors, Usually, it runs any game very smoothly but recently one monitor says 'no signal' and won't connect to my computer, I've tried to troubleshoot outside of my computer by plugging things out and back in but nothing is working. Along with that, my computer can't handle games anymore and will lag much more in games even though my storage is almost halfway full. Outside of games, I can also notice a subtle change in speed as applications open up choppier and a little bit slower. Is the inside of my computer dusty? or is it something else? please hel

• What changes did you make in the BIOS? As making the changes in the BIOS is only recommended by Microsoft if done by the manufacturer.
  

• How are you connecting to the 2nd monitor?

Things to do once connected new G-Sync monitor

I'm getting my G-Sync monitor today.

I think I have to take the following steps:

• Connect 1440p G-sync monitor with DP cable
• Connect second 1080p 60Hz monitor by HDMI
• Startup PC
• Reinstall display driver
• Restart PC (I always do that after display driver install)
• Activate G-Sync in NV control panel (I believe also V-Sync is auto on after that?)
• Set my 1440p monitor from 1080p to 1440p
• Calibrate my 1440p monitor

Also ingame, I should turn off V-Sync?
Are there any problems running a second 60Hz 1080p monitor?

Is there anything else I should do/know?

There are several possible reasons why your LCD monitor suddenly stopped working. It could be that the graphic driver is outdated or could be the cable used is already damaged.

For us to isolate this problem, we would like to ask the following information:

• Were there any changes made on your computer prior to the issue?
• Have you installed any updates?

In the meantime, please try the following suggestions and see if your laptop will detect the LCD monitor:

• Update the graphic card driver. Check out Update drivers in Windows 10 for the steps.
• Use another cable. Try using another VGA cable to connect the LCD monitor to the laptop.
• Connect the LCD monitor to another computer. To help us isolate the issue, try connecting the LCD monitor to a different computer.
