    Why is my computer stuck in system updates for longer than 12 hours? I have tried a hard reset and it won’t shut down, it stays on the screen.

    My update is stuck at 91% for over 12 hours

    Just to clear up any confusion: your question states the update has been stuck for 12 hours yet you further state the update began 1:30 & hadn’t completed by 3:30, this is only 2 hours; can you confirm if it’s 12 or 2 hours?

    Depending on how many updates are required & the version previously installed before the update it can take a few hours.

    Has the update completed now?

    today's (19/05/17) W10 upgrade has been stuck at 12% for over 3 hours now.

    the W10 update for 19th May 2017 has been stuck with the following message for over 3 hours with little I/O activity apparent.

    "Configuring update for Windows 10

    12% complete

    Do not turn off computer"

    Any suggestions on what to do?

    Fall Update 12/12 kb4054517 Error: 0x800705b4 computer stuck on "Getting Windows Ready" Blue Spinning Dots all night.

    Fall Update 12/12 kb4054517 Error: 0x800705b4 computer stuck on Getting Windows Ready Spinning dots. Went to bed after several hours, got up and my computer was shut down. I started computer, screen was stuck again on the Getting Windows Ready Blue
    Spinning Dots. Read up and went with suggestions to reset PC. Still did not work. Seeing more and more complaints about this with no solution. My other computer updated fine but will not shut down properly, just shuts off then immediately restarts
    after same update. Is this my computer or a Windows Update thang.

    Thanks for you help.
