  1. Why is my desktop settings synced with another device's settings?

I have checked all available options and turned off all sync preferences under accounts and settings, but the new folders continue to appear and mine go missing when another device used by a family member is used to make any changes. How can I stop this? Is there a common account that we are linked through although the login Microsoft Accounts shows 2 diff ones? Please kindly help, as it gets very frustrating at times.

    :)

  2. 'Sync your settings'

I am unable to sync my desktop and laptop. My desktop reads, "Some features are only available if you are using a Microsoft account or work account" and 'Sync settings' is off and greyed out. My laptop has 'sync settings' on. Both devices are set up the same way and I have the same Microsoft account for each. Both were synced once upon a time because I had the same background on both. I am unsure whether the change might have occurred when I updated both devices to Windows 10 last year. I appreciate there might be many reasons for the latest situation that will make the cause difficult to identify, but one suggestion or another might just help.

  3. Sync settings does nothing on new Windows 10 machine

We suggest that you change the Feedback and Diagnostics settings on both devices. Kindly follow the steps below:

    • Open Settings.
    • Go to Privacy, Feedback & diagnostics.
    • Your Diagnostics and usage data settings are probably set to Basic. Just change it to Enhanced or higher.
Once you change Feedback and Diagnostics settings, you should be able to sync your settings normally again.

Let us know how it goes.
