Windows 10: Why is my display screen on my computer stretched super wide?

I tried changing my computer's resolution, restarting the computer, updating it, and it's still the same.Using a desktopEdition Windows 10 Pro Version 21H1 hp V194 is my monitor

Display stretched too wide

A couple of days ago my Windows 10 PC was working normally. I had left for a while and when I returned the display was stretched horizontally. I tried adjusting the resolution but that did not resolve the problem. I did a system restore, and although I
got an error message it did initially correct the distortion. Then, while I was going through and reading my email I heard a small "ping" sort of noise and the stretching distortion returned. Now I cannot get the issue resolved. I am using a resolution that
minimizes the distortion but the screen is still stretched too wide. Suggestions from anyone? Thanks

was typing message in a game im playing and apparently I pressed something and my screen went stretch wide like when you look at a wide screen movie no on the big wide screen ned to get back to regular view cant figure out how to do it

My display screen suddenly stretched without my doing anything. All apps are now stretched, what was circular is now oval.
