Windows 10: Why is my FPS locked after windows update ?

Basically, after every Windows update if my games are fullscreen, the game is automatically locked at 60 fps. All my drivers are up to date, in the game I turned off V sync even tho if it did lock it to my refresh rate I have a 360 Hz monitor.I do however have another monitor that is 60 Hz but in the game settings I chose the one with 360 Hz I tried unplugging the 60 Hz one and the issue stayed the same. I tried disabling fullscreen optimization, I ran the program as an admin. I tried closing other apps and overlays. I tried verifying game files. I tried uninstalling video drivers and reinstal

Hi dalchina. Good news, I followed your suggestion and reinstalled the update and now it appears as "installed correctly" *Biggrin Maybe it was not necessary to run the Windows Update Troubleshooter or maybe if necessary. But using it I do not think it could have worsened something. The installation was very fast, unlike the first time it showed step 1 and step 2 completed.

No Lock screen in Windows 10.

I suggest you to follow the steps below to set the lock screen option as Windows Spotlight and check if it helps.

1. Right click on Desktop screen.

2. Then click on Personalize.

3. Click on Lock Screen.

4. Try to select Windows Spotlight from the list.
