Windows 10: Why is my laptop not letting me alter the volume settings for my external microphone?

I just got the Alienware m16 laptop and had been using it with my Blue Yeti Nano microphone with no issues for the past few days. When I installed all the most recent software updates Windows installed all the intel smart audio devices. Now whenever I try to configure the settings for my Blue Yeti Nano through the System Sound settings the volume slider keeps getting forced back to 0 for the Blue Yeti Nano input volume making it essentially unable to pick up my voice on any app. I'm forced to use the intel smart audio device and have been told it sounds terrible and I've tried so many differen

   • Make sure you have the necessary drivers installed for the external microphone. Sometimes, devices require specific drivers to function properly. You can typically find these drivers on the manufacturer's website.
     
3. Device Manager:
   
   • Open Device Manager by right-clicking on the Start button and selecting "Device Manager."
     
   • Look for any entries related to your external microphone. It should appear under "Audio inputs and outputs."
     
   • If you see the microphone listed, make sure it's enabled and up to date. You can right-click on it and choose "Enable" or "Update driver."
     
4. Sound Settings:
   
   • Right-click on the speaker icon in the taskbar and select "Open Sound settings."
     
   • Under the "Input" section, make sure the external microphone is selected as the default recording device.
     
5. Privacy Settings:

The volume for a file has been externally altered so that the opened

below u can see that I gave the commands like you suggested :











keep in consideration that windows is on drive E: and the EFI partition on drive Z:. The reinstallation of the EFI boot files worked great and now I'm using windows,but I still get the same error :

 

External microphone not showing in the Recording tab

My Windows 10 laptop is not recognizing any external microphones. I have two headsets: a Bluetooth one and one for an audio jack. Both headsets work correctly on other devices. When I connect the headsets to my computer, I can hear audio, but the microphones
do not work.

Here are the steps I've taken so far:

• Updated drivers (they were already up to date)
• From Sound Settings, headsets do not appear as options for the input device
• Ran the microphone troubleshooter - headsets do not appear as options
• From Control Panel > Sound > Recording, headsets do not appear as options. I have selected the disabled and disconnected devices options.
• From Microphone Privacy, all apps have access to the microphone.
  

That's everything I found online to fix this problem. Any suggestions?
