Windows 10: Why is my laptop suddenly going black when I try and put my pin in?

When my laptop starts up the time shows but there is a black background. When I press any key in attempt to go to enter my pin, it goes black and I can only see my cursor. After a while the screen goes back to the time again and the same thing happens when I press a key. None of the keyboard shortcuts work. Sometimes after I try resetting my laptop the pin shows and background is there too and I can enter my computer fine. However, when I close the lid the computer doesnt sleep like it usually would. How can I fix this? It's never happened before and now whenever I shut off and turn on my

1. What is the error that you are getting after entering the PIN?
2. Is there any other administrator user account on the laptop?
3. Are you entering the correct PIN?

If you have signed in with your Microsoft Account, I suggest you to follow the steps mentioned in
How to recover your PIN and password from the lock screen and check if this helps.

If you are not able to recover your PIN or password, then the only way to login to your laptop is to do a
Custom Installation of Windows, in which you will lose all your applications; however, your user data like pictures, videos, documents, etc., will be saved in Windows.old
folder.

My laptop screen suddenly going black but still running (Window 11)

I have problem with my laptop suddenly going black. The laptop still running and the keyboard still have light.

My laptop specs:

AMD Ryzen 7 4800H with Radeon Graphics 2.90 GHz

8.00 GB (7.42 GB usable)

NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 Ti

 

Unable to go into safe mode to change pin

1. The error code is 0x8009002d. 2. There isn’t another administrator to the account.

3. The pin is correct. Had been using the same pin and turned it on one evening and it came to this issue that prevents me from using the laptop suddenly.

I’ve tried to go through the steps on pin and password recovery but no answer from Microsoft for pin reset. I’m trying to avoid doing a reinstallation to wipe everything out. If there’s any other way out please advise. Thanks.
