Windows 10: Why is my Media Player album art not updating?

I'm converting my cassette collection to mp3 files to keep listening to them on Windows Media Player. The mp3 files get imported no problem, but when I try to add an album cover to the album on Media Player it doesn't seem to update. I have 2 albums for which it did work, but the rest are still blank eventhough I added a cover multiple times.Why isn't it updating and showing the album cover? Is it because of the file format or something else?Thanks in advance

How to remove album art from Windows media player in Windows 10

Follow the below mentioned steps and check if they helps you.

• Open Windows Media Player.
• Click the Library tab, right-click on any of the column headers and select
  Choose Columns.
• 
  Uncheck the Album Art check box and Click OK.
  

Another way to do this

• Open "Windows Media Player."
• 
  Click "Library." Right-click the track or album you want to edit, and then click "Advanced Tag Editor."
  
• 
  Select the "Pictures" tab. Click the "Delete" button and then "Apply" to remove the album art.
  

Now check if it still displays the Album Art.
