Windows 10: Why is my mic sound so low?

I was trying to install a soundboard on my computer using the VB-Audio software. After messing around with the settings I was able to get it to work, but I decided it wasn't for me and I just didn't like it. After I uninstalled the VB-Audio software and the soundboard software I went to change everything back to my old mic. The old mic however was super quiet. Before it had been at a good volume usually averaging out at like 60-80% volume when I was speaking, but now it barely break 3%. It's basically impossible to use now as I can barely hear myself in my recordings when before I usually had

Mic level is too low

Thanks Ted, yes. I was thinking about this and I remember read that the issue (not having the Mic boost) is because this is an integrated camera with mic OR this is the basis driver within the OS

 

just got a new blue snowball ice mic boost not there low audio

mine looks like its provided by C-media here is a pic. as you can see that is the only slider i got for mine and as far as i can tell it controls just the volume output nothing more, i'm half tempted to try the program i listed above, but have heard of people loosing sound enhancements from realtek from installing it.

 

USB Mic Problems.

The next step is what I suggested originally. Try it in a friend's PC or take it to Best Buy and ask them to try it one of their PC's. Have to confirm the mic is working OK.
