Windows 10: Why is my Microsoft PIN on my laptop updated when I update my work 365 account PIN?

I recently had to update my Microsoft 365 PIN at work to 6 digits instead of 4. When I got home and tried to use my laptop, I realized that PIN has been linked to the same PIN. My employer wants access to my work PC but I do not want them having my personal PIN which is now the same.

Microsoft Account PIN and password

We appreciate the screenshot that you provided. to start troubleshooting the issue with you logins, we suggest that you follow the steps below on how login pin goes back to password:

• Click Start menu and go to Settings.
• In Settings, click the Accounts icon.
• Click on Sign-in options.
• Change both your password and pin one by one.

PIN sign in for Microsoft Account

I am using the Microsoft account page under family members. In this section where it shows my Grand Daughters Account details there is no option to have a Pin Code, However on my page, as Administrator, I can create a Pin.
