Windows 10: why is my mouse cursor stuck in the middle of my screen when i boot my pc?

When i first boot my pc my mouse cursor is fine. until i enter my pin it disappears then it teleports to the middle of the screen and i cant move it.

Mouse pointer appears in middle of screen when gaming.

When I start Escape From Tarkov it works as expected. But at a random time, some times after 10 minutes and sometimes after 4h of gaming, the Windows mouse cursor appears in the middle of the screen. When I am in an interface that uses the mouse, it is gone, but if no mouse pointer is used in the game the Windows mouse pointer is stuck in the middle of the screen.

If it helps to find the Problem, every time the arrow appears, a Windows notification sound comes up and the input freezes for a second. Than everything works again except the mouse pointer beeing stuck on the screen.

I use Windows 11 and I have tried the Game on the same PC with Windows 10 and the problem never occured, so I guess it is a Windows problem?

Is there any known fix other than the ones I have already tried:

• reinstalling the game
  
• Disable fullscreen optimizations
  
• using a different Resolution
  

 

No Mouse Cursor on Boot Screen

I've had Win 10 for quite a while and PC has worked like a champ. Lately, after it boots up and gets to the Home? screen (the screen you click on to enter your password), I don't have a mouse cursor. Keyboard doesn't seem to have a key function to get
past this screen.

System is a ASUS Essentio with a Logitech wireless keyboard and a wired Logitech mouse

Things I've done to remedy:

1) Booted to the BIOS screen at startup and mouse works like a champ, so the mouse is fine.

2) Thinking this could be system update download issue, I've unplugged my network cable and rebooted. No change.

This happened yesterday but after rebooted the system, it came up and mouse worked. Today, nothing seems to get it going. Any suggestions out there?

 

Windows 10 stuck on blank screen with mouse cursor at boot

Recently I upgraded from windows 7 to windows 10. Everything installed and worked great for few weeks. After 2 or 3 weeks I can't boot to Windows 10 anymore.

The computer goes thru initial boot and before showing any windows 10 screens (no blue window, no dots etc) gets stuck on blank screen with blinking mouse cursor.

Per Microsoft engineer who responded to my previous post, I created windows 10 ISO disk. Booted from the disk, got thru the blue windows logo and dancing dots to a "Windows Setup" box with 2 options:

• 
  
  1. Continue with the upgrade (I already upgraded successfully and everything worked for a while)
  
  2. Perform a clean installation
  

Continuing upgrade gets me back to blank screen with blinking cursor.

I didn't try option 2, clean installation, because I am afraid to loose all my programs etc.

I installed turbotax after upgrading to win 10, but I don't think turbotax is a problem. I have no problems at all after installing it on another win 10 computer.

Now I regret upgrading to windows 10. Windows 7 worked perfectly fine.

Any suggestions how to repair the windows 10?

Or is there a way to go back to windows 7 without full reinstall?
