    Why is my OneDrive crashing?


    "Stopcode: Attempt to write to Readonly Memory"For the past three or so months, I've been getting the above message whenever I lock my OneDrive vault. I am then greeted by a BSOD on my monitor and am advised that there has been a system crash and that it will restart after it has collected all the necessary data. What puzzles me is, why now? I have made use of the OneDrive feature for a couple of years now without a problem. I have no idea what's causing this issue to crop up so hopefully, someone "out there" will read this and shed some light upon it.OK. I am not entirely satisfied with

    Windows 10 - OneDrive

    Right click on the app and one of the properties has an option to not automatically start it. Uncheck, restart the computer, and it should stop. If you want to go another step further, find the OneDrive app in the start menu, right click on it and uninstall.

    If that is still insufficient, there is a batch uninstaller for OneDrive available online. I can copy the code here if you need it.

    I suggest you run rthdribl > http://www.daionet.gr.jp/~masa/archives/rthdribl_1_2.zip
    Increase the window size step by step and watch your vga temps permanently.
    What happens?
    If it crashes, run at stock speeds as suggested before and retry.

    P.S.: When your system locks, does the display signal turn off after a time?
    Stuttering sound or no sound at all when freezing?
    What X1800XT model do you own exactly?

    Hi,

    Quick update. This fixed it for me:

    I suggest you to try resetting OneDrive and check if it helps you in resolving the issue. To do so refer the steps below:

    Be aware that resetting OneDrive re-syncs all your OneDrive files, which could take some time depending on how many files you’re syncing.



    • Press the Windows key + R to open the Run
      Window      .
    • In the Run Window enter the following:
      %localappdata%\Microsoft\OneDrive\onedrive.exe /reset
    • Click OK. The OneDrive system tray icon on the desktop should disappear and re-appear after a minute or two.
    • If the OneDrive system tray icon does not re-appear after a few minutes, do the following. In the Run Window Enter: %localappdata%\Microsoft\OneDrive\onedrive.exe
