upgrade itch plz HALP!

With 2-3 months left before Bulldozer arrives and with such a powerful system already... do wait or invest in stuff that'll work with any platform.


For example:

• A really good and/or big SSD
• Periphery? A mechanical keyboard, or some great mouse, or good cans?
• Or as Hat said - a better sound card?

I really wouldn't be switching platforms just yet. Yeah, I know that itch is an itch, but scratch it smartly *Wink

XFX started it and Evga is doing the same. Evga is starting its own reinbursement program for those who bought the Evga 2xx series when they first came out. All you have to do is follow a few steps.

• Must be a new purchase from an authorized EVGA reseller. Step-ups do not qualify.

itching to upgrade

i've been having that itch for a while now, and i've made a list.

next upgrade will be a vid card. probably the new 448 shader gtx560ti but depending on budget may go to a 580. and i also have a pair of ssd's in mind, my 3x74gig raptors are starting to show their age.

but is there a compelling reason to ditch a q9550 that runs along at a happy 4.1ghz 24/7?
