Windows 10: Why is my screen glitching when I plug in the charger?

Everytime I plug in my laptopSamsung Galaxu Book 2 Pro 15 inch the screen colours suddenly freak out, i can fix it if I hit the power button or close the lidboth turn off the screen momentarily, but id like to not have to do that everytime I plug in the charger

From the last update, I understand that the screen momentarily flashes to black display when power chord is plugged in or plugged out.

There can be several causes to this issue ranging from custom Power Options settings, driver configuration in Windows to voltage difference, power surges at a hardware level.

Please follow the below suggested methods and check if it helps to resolve the issue.

Method 1

Reset the power options settings in Windows. Please follow the below steps.

• Press Windows key + X from the keyboard.
• Choose Command prompt from the context menu.
• In the command prompt, type powercfg –restoredefaultschemes
  and press Enter.
• Exit command prompt

Method 2

Go into the display settings and change the refresh rate just to see if it has any effect. Follow below.

• Right Click on Start Menu and select Control Panel.
• Choose Display
• Click on Adjust Resolution
• Choose Advanced Settings
• Click on the tab Monitor.

Check if the Refresh Rate is set to 60 Hertz.

Also, I would suggest you to check with a secondary display to ascertain if the issue is with the display monitor or the charger you are connecting the laptop with.

For more relevant information, refer to the computer assembler/manufacturer's website support on updated drivers for the make and model of your computer compatible with Windows 10.

Please try these basic steps and check.

• I would suggest you to remove the battery and reinsert it, to make sure it’s connected firmly.
• Make sure to use the original cord and adapter that came with your Cyclone Voyager 2 Tablet.
  
• Check for any damage or loose connection on the charging port of the tablet.
• Connect the charger to the wall socket directly instead of a surge protector while charging.
• Check with another original charger

Follow the methods if above steps doesn't help.

Method 1: Use the hardware troubleshooter to fix the issue

The Hardware Troubleshooter is an automated tool which will check the hardware connected to the computer for any known issues with it and provides the details and on how to fix them. Follow these steps and run the troubleshooter.

Follow these steps:

• Press Windows key to get the Start menu.
• Type Troubleshooting in the search box right up corner and hit enter.
• Click on Troubleshooting tab.
• Click on view all option on the upper left corner.
• Select the Hardware and Device options from the list.
• Click Next to run the Hardware and Device Troubleshooter.

If the issue persist, follow method 2.

Method 2: Disable USB selective suspend setting.

This method prevents your USB device from powering down.

• Click the Start button, type power plan in the Search box, then click Choose a power plan.
• Next to your currently selected plan, click Change Plan Settings.
• Click Change advanced power settings.
• Click the box to expand USB Settings, then expand USB selective suspend settings.
• Click plugged in, then click the drop down menu and select disabled.
• If you're using a laptop, click Battery, then click the drop down menu and select disabled.
• Click Apply, then click OK.
