Windows 10: Why is my ssd showing up in my BIOS but not showing up on windows 11 installation to...

Why is my ssd showing up in my BIOS but not showing up on windows 11 installation to download. I have a Asus Rog Strix z790-A gaming wifi d4 motherboard and a 2 Tb Samsung 990 pro SSD.

I'm trying to install windows. My SSD doesn't show up in List Disk, but it does show up in BIOS under UEFI HII.

I have an Hp pavilion x360 convertible model 15t-dq200. I am trying to install a Samsung 970 evo plus SSD.

I set up a windows boot USB flash drive. I have tried both Windows 10 and Windows 11, and have had the same results.

When I get to the "Where do you want to install windows" screen, it tells me "We couldn't find any drives. To get a storage driver, click load driver".

As the post's title suggests, when I open administrator, and use DISKPART and LIST DISK, I see both of my USB drives, but not my ssd. However, the SSD does show up in BIOS under UEFI HII Configuration.

I have a Precision T3600 that the HD went bad in.

I purchased a ssd to replace it and installed it.

The bios sees the ssd but during the attempts to install windows 7, and 10 on the system when the windows installation gets to selecting the drive to install windows on the drive does not display. I tried the suggestion
to open a cmd prompt and use diskpart to create a partition on the ssd but the ssd doesn't show up in diskpart either. I have a duplicate working T3600 with win 7 on it. I used Macrium reflect and cloned the working T3600 to the new ssd installed it to the
system and I get a no boot device. I even tried with a standard HD but still no luck no boot device.

The settings are bios A12, SATA/RAID enabled, ACHI enabled, UEFI.

I posted this to a Dell forum but decided to take a shot on the Windows forum as well because it seems to be a windows issue because the dell sees the drive is bios.

Any ideas how to get windows to see the ssd are appropriated.

Replace SSD card that wont show in Disk Partition but shows in Bios

Are there any other drives connected apart from the SSD.

Try turning off Secure boot in the bios just for the install.

You don't need and executable in the download. You need to extract the files in the zip you downloaded and put the folder on the boot USB.

When you are at the Custom install step select Drivers and browse to the folder on the install USB. If it is valid it should display the drivers and show the SSD.
