Windows 10: Why is my sxstrace.exe not working?

Hi Microsoft Forums! If anyone could help me out that would be great, I've asked some others online already but they can't seem to really find out what's wrong. My sxstrace.exe seems to be bugged out or something; I can't open it and when I do it immediately closes. I initially ran into this issue because my Google Chrome will not open, currently it will not open at all but prior it said there was a side-by-side issue and to check the file integrity and sxstrace.exe. Well, I tried to check the aforementioned sxstrace.exe, but it would not open. I've tried everything aside from completely reset

It is possible that you .exe is not working due to corrupted system files or account. To assist you better, kindly answer the following questions:

• Does this happen with a specific application or with all of your application?
• Have you tried creating a new admin account to check if the issue also with new account or only with the current account?

In the meantime, we suggest that you follow the steps in this article on how
to create a new admin account.

The tutorials provided are just a list of troubleshooting steps. Use only the steps which apply to you.

Since none of the troubleshooting steps here worked, I'd suggest you do a Clean install.

Denis, it worked!

Denis, I removed 365. Then I clicked my Word shortcut and got a brief window that said Updating Office Enterprise 2007. When that went away I had all of my *.exe files back in Office 12 and even my Recent Documents list for Word!
