Windows 10: Why is my taskbar not showing after update when I ALT-TAB out of Steam games?

I'm running Windows 11 and had an update earlier today. Now, whenever I ALT-TAB out of Steam games, the taskbar doesn't show. Since it only happens with Steam games It could be an issue with the Steam client, but since this problem started after an update I figured I'd post here.Here's a screenshot:As you can see, the game shows where the taskbar should be. Does anyone know how to fix this issue?

i am getting alt tabbed out of games

i think i discovered the issue. i have steam installed on my laptop

in the past 2 months i am noticing that the steam chat window is freezing and becoming unresponsive so i have to kill the task steam client webhelper in the task manager and that will close the steam chat window and then i am exiting steam and restarting it. the steam chat window is freezing because the task steam client webhelper is misbehaving. the problem is new and it started after a recent steam update. if i am playing a game when the steam client webhelper misbehaves then i am getting alt tabbed out of the game

if i manually alt tab out of a game then the game stops running and something else shows on the screen

when the alt tab is happens on its own when i am playing games and the game is still running in the background and i can control it but there is something else showing on top of the game

today i was playing a game and chatting on steam. the steam chat window was showing on the screen then i went back to the game. after that it did alt tab on its own and it went back to the steam chat window and the game was still running under the steam chat window and i could control the game. i quit the game and then i noticed that the steam chat window was frozen and it became unresponsive

i uninstalled steam and i deleted all the left over files. later on i will reinstall steam. i want to know how can i make the process steam client webhelper behave and not cause me problems. what do i do?

 

Taskbar not showing while alt-tabbed with multiple monitors

I'm running two monitors, monitor A is my main monitor, and monitor B is my secondary i use for videos and everything while gaming. When I have a game on monitor A and I alt+tab out to a window on my second monitor, the taskbar doesn't show up. It's the
same when i click off my game on monitor A to monitor B. In windows 7 whenever I did this the taskbar would show up, but now unless i specifically alt+tab to a window on monitor A taskbar will not show up. Doesn't anyone know a registry or way to make it so
i don't have to keep going to windows on monitor A to make the taskbar show up.

Moving forward, if you're multitasking while playing, we recommend that you play this game only without doing other tasks. Pressing ALT-TAB or performing a multitasking interferes with the performance of your video card, especially if you're running a heavy
