Windows 10: Why is my Turtlebeach usb crashing windows?

I have a Turtlebeach headset and it was working fine but now when I plug in the usb for the headset it immediately crashes windows and my computer restarts and won’t boot up unless I unplug the usb. It is not an issue with the ports or any other devices I’ve tried updating the adapters but nothing has worked

Increase the window size step by step and watch your vga temps permanently.
What happens?
If it crashes, run at stock speeds as suggested before and retry.

P.S.: When your system locks, does the display signal turn off after a time?
Stuttering sound or no sound at all when freezing?
What X1800XT model do you own exactly?

All cords ( audio, mic, and usb) are plugged to laptop, but there is no sound and headset does not appear on playback devices

 

Installing windows off of a USB stick

Step By Step from vista:
From admin cmd prompt

1. diskpart
1a. list disk
2. select disk 1 (replace 1 with your usb drive)
3. clean
4. create partition primary
5. select partition 1 (replace 1 with your usb drive)
6. active
7. format fs=fat32
8. assign
9. exit

Copy Windows Vista's DVD ROM content to the Flash Drive

xcopy d:\*.* /s/e/f e:\ (d being your vista cd and e being your usb stick)

And that's it, boot off your usb disk
