Windows 10: Why is my wifi connection so weak on desktop PC?

Hello,I’ve been having this issue with a relatively new desktop. Prior to August 2022, the PC connected wirelessly just as well as any other device in my home. After moving to college, it was strictly on ethernet the whole year and it worked very well. After my year when I went back home May 2023, I returned to wireless connection and this was when my computer started to get only about 10 mbps 1-2 bars when it used to get 300+ wireless and 1000+ ethernet. Now that I’m back at college, I no longer have a wired setup and am running wireless. I am getting 5-10 mbps on my desktop here but all ot

Weak available wifi signals disappear

i require that i be able to see my neighbors wifi signal so i can geolocate, windows sees them when i first enable the wifi adapter, but after a period of time connected to my home wifi their weak signals disappear from the available network list.

i would like to find stop windows from eliminating the weak networks from the available list.

 

Wifi- Weak Security

It sounds like connection 2 is ‘stealing’ the 1 wifi connection.
Wifi connection 1 possibly has a guest wifi connection which anyone can connect to.
Unfortunately the weak connection can only be changed on the Router & not via the phone & it only affects iDevices running iOS14.

 

Laptops cannot access desktops via WIFI

I have 3 desktops (all on Windows 10 1803) connected on my LAN. After following this forum for some times and did all the steps as suggested by forum member, access denied, all my desktops are able to view and access one another. I have a printer connected to PC1, and managed to connect all the other 2 PCs to have the shared printer.

I also have 2 more laptops (both Asus with the same Windows 10 1803) connected via WIFI. Performed all the same steps as per the desktops, but I was not able to access PC1. I was able to view all the 3 desktops from the file explorer, but I just can't access all the desktops. However, I was able to access the Asus laptops from desktop PC1.

Anyone able to assist on this matter? Any assistance is highly appreciated.
