Windows 10: Why is my wifi is extremely slow on my Windows 11 laptop but alright on my phone?

For a while now I've been noticing that my Wifi is super slow when downloading anything on my laptop, I've run internet tests and they hardly ever pass a painful 10 megabits per second, I always thought my internet provider was just the worst and that's why it's so slow. But recently I've begun to notice that the wifi works fine and downloads things at a normal/fast pace on my other devices like an Xbox One, or my Phone, reaching speeds of around 100 megabits per second. Nothing super impressive but so much better than my laptop. So today i decided to run an internet speed test on my phone and

Extremely Slow Wifi on LG Optimus 7

Recently I've been experiencing extremely slow wifi speeds when using my LG Optimus 7. When I first got the phone the wifi was working at regular speeds but recently it has gotten extremely slow for no apparent reason.
The problem has nothing to do with my wifi router since my laptop, XBOX 360 and iPod work perfectly with wifi.
I usually get 3 bars of data with my phone but even when I turn off data and allow the wifi to fully connect when waking from sleep, it still works extremely slow.
Is this a bug with WP7 or is there a fix to it?

Hi Joanne,

It seems that the slow download speed only happens on your wireless devices. Since you've basically performed almost all necessary troubleshooting on both laptops, we would like to ask a few questions to help us further isolate this issue.

• How far is your computer from the router?
• What's the make and model of your router? Is it a single-band or dual-band?
• Are there other devices connected to the WiFi network?

In the meantime, we suggest that you change or specify the channel of your wireless network. If you have access to your router, set it to either Channel 1, 6, or 11, then change the Channel Width to 20 MHz only. Once saved, try checking the download speed again.

Windows 11 jumplist extremely slow.

My jumplist for all the programs pinned on my taskbar is extremely slow. I'm running a new Windows 11 22H2 laptop.

All Office app and also other apps are affected.

I tried deactivating the flag in Settings > Personalization > Start > Turn On the switch against Show recently opened items in Start, Jump Lists, and File Explorer. This way the jumplist is fast but of course empty. As soon as I reactivate the flag, the jumplist is slow again.

I use the jumplist a lot both for pinned items and history. For now I first activated the flag, pinned the documents and deactivated the flag. Of course now I have only pinned items and I lost history. But even this workaround is a pain because in Windows 11 I'm not allowed to drag files to the app on the bar so I have no way to pin documents but to enable the history temporary.

I searched on several topics and could not find the same exact problem.
