Windows 10: Why is my WiFi not running to full potential only on my pc

Just got a new motherboard that has built in wifi. My WiFi speeds are good when I do the speed tests but when I open task manager it is staying below 100 kbps. This was not the case before when I used my wifi card and usb. When I go to plug in my wifi card now which should be unnecessary because my mb has built in wifi, the same thing occurs. I am capped at 100 kbps while sometimes spiking to 500 kbps and also have packet loss that drops my network to 0 kbps randomly every couple seconds. Is there a fix for this because it isn’t my isp for sure.

PC Build Steps

Ok just because I like steps i am going to create some steps. Please give me the stamp of approval/disapproval

• Install system in case
  • Remember to connect SSD and optical to same SATA ports on motherboard
• Turn on PC
• setup HDD
• run blend test in prime95 for 30-60 min
  • run realtemp at the same time

• While in Prime95 test
  • if CPU goes above 70c in RealTemp, I have a leaky CPU
  • if my system locks up or blue screens, there is an instability in the system somewhere
  • if my system does not lock up or blue screen, my CPU is not damaged and I am in the clear!

What do you guys think??

 

Windows 10 - WIFI 2 - Cant connect

It is possible that your drivers are outdated or the connection itself has the issue. We suggest that you perform
these methods of troubleshooting
and check if there are any changes:

Method 1: Reset TCP/IP

To do this, follow these steps:

• 
  Run
  Command Prompt
  as
  Administrator.
  
• 
  Run
  this command:
  
  • 
    netsh int ip reset
    and hit
    Enter.
    

Exit
Command Prompt
and
monitor your WiFi connection.

Method 2: Disable auto turn-off of WiFi device.

Go to
Network and Sharing Center. At the
right pane, click
Change adapter settings.
Right-click
on your
connection name(WiFi name)
and go to
Properties.Click
the
"Configure..."
button and go to
Power Management
tab.Uncheck/disable
the
radio button
for
"Allow this device to turn off this device to save power". And then,
Restart the PC(Important).

Method 3: Reconfigure TCP/IP

To do this, follow these steps:

• 
  Run
  Command Prompt
  as
  Administrator.
  
• 
  Run
  these following commands:
  
  • 
    netsh int tcp set heuristics
    disabled
    
  • 
    netsh int tcp
    set global autotuninglevel=disabled
    
  • 
    netsh int tcp set global
    rss=enabled

Some Apps Won't Run Without WiFi

Thank you for keeping us updated.

I suggest you to run System file checker. System File checker (SFC) scan is done to check if there are any corrupted system files that could be causing this issue. Kindly follow the below given steps:

• Press Windows key + X, select
  Command prompt (Admin) to bring up elevated Command prompt.
• In Command prompt type sfc/scannow and press enter.
• Restart the computer.

If no corrupted system files were found in the previous state, then I suggest you to try the following steps:

• Open command prompt by pressing Windows key + X and selecting “Command prompt admin”.
• In command prompt, type the following commands and press Enter after each command:

DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Scanhealth

DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth

• Close the command prompt and restart the PC and check if it works.
