Windows 10: Why is my wifi speed so much slower on my pc then any other devices in the same room?

my WIFI speed on googles WIFI speed test is 292.0 download and 63.7 upload speed on my phone . and my WIFI speed on my pc is 1.23 and 2.80. does anyone know why this is ? I am trying to update a game right now and its going anywhere from 0 and completely stopping or to around 150kbs. at this rate it would take 59 hours to update my game

Wifi speed slower on pc than on Iphone.

I found the service (CFosSpeed System Service) causing my Upload and Download speed to drop significantly. I had about 5 Mbits/s Upload, which probably caused my ping ingame to be so high. But my Download speed is still slower than on my other devices.

Testing

Regular (promised) speed: 250 Mbit/s Download & 50 Mbit/s Upload

Actuall speed:

• PC: 165 Mbit/s Download & 50 Mbit/s Upload
  
• Iphone 11: 240 Mbit/s Download
  
• Samsung A52: 240 Mbit/s Download
  
• Iphone 13: 220 Mbit/s Download
  

I am satisfied with this fix, since I can enjoy games again, but if there is a possible solution for my drop in download speed, i would greatly appreciate it.

 

Wifi speed considerable slower compared to ethernet

Hi,

the only thing that has changed is the position of the PC while the components of the PC have remained the same as before.

Very thick walls or floors are a barrier to the WiFi signal resulting in slower speeds and ping spikes. The WiFi connection works quite well when the router and wireless devices are located on the same floor of the house.

Thank you for your suggestions, but unfortunately, it did not work.

1. I already updated the drivers

2. Windows updates are all installed

3. Disconnecting everyone from the Wifi would be a huge effort because there are so many devices. But i dont think this could be the problem since i get full wifi speed on all these devices and usually my wifi is pretty stable and fast.
