Windows 10: Why is my windows security blank and it is not letting me run security centre,can someone...

my windows security will show blank and when i see my security centre its disabled and wont let me run it for some reason, can anyone help me.

That made me so facepalm. Some people have absolutely no clue. I hope they don't take you for granted with all this you're doing for them.

SonicWall is a good security product, so Mindweaver's suggestion sounds like a good one and should make for a rather bigger baby step. Let's hope they take it.

I can log in to cloud protection but not the send samples to MS The thing that started defender working was disabling all non MS services in startup msconfig Thanks

Should this window be greyed out security service is called windows security service and its present, set it to run now its greyed out, hopefull this doesnt matter

Windows Defender is possibly turned off by Comodo which is sometimes difficult to remove!

Go to Security and Maintenance, look in 'Security' and see what program is listed under Virus Protection. Windows Defender will not be enabled if there is a program other than Windows Defender listed.



Have you tried the steps recommended in Problems
starting Windows Defender in Windows 8/8.1/10 to include running the software removal tools for any security software (AVG, McAfee, Norton, whatever) that may have previously been on the computer followed by a restart?
