Windows 10: why is onedrive paused?

Where is "Pause" on OneDrive?

i get the menu you show: "view online", "settings", etc.

But "Pause" is not on the menu.

Please see the pic i posted.

In my previous installation of OneDrive, OneDrive automatically paused sync'ing on a metered connection. Now it does not. It only suggests that i pause it myself. Plz see image in my first post, above.

 

Windows 10 - OneDrive

Right click on the app and one of the properties has an option to not automatically start it. Uncheck, restart the computer, and it should stop. If you want to go another step further, find the OneDrive app in the start menu, right click on it and uninstall.

If that is still insufficient, there is a batch uninstaller for OneDrive available online. I can copy the code here if you need it.

 

Onedrive is pausing - why?

First step removed the onedrive icon

This: %localappdata%\Microsoft\OneDrive\onedrive.exe

-opened the onedrive setup map (!) only.

I moved back to the onedrive map and clicked onedrive.exe.

It started, and at once its paused.

I need no sync at all for the moment, I use onedrive only for easy method

to make schreendumps.

Perhaps ite better to find a working program for that.

I will try to reinstall onedrive but cant understand why its needed, the win10 is

not used much since installed, fully updated and no virus detected by Defender.
