Windows 10: why is options for save locations grayed out?

Cannot change from the default C:/. The drop-down menu doesn't appear. This is a new hp laptop and it came out of the box with the C drive as the save location for everything, and the settings will not open the drop-down menu to change this. Please help. Sandra

"Adjust for daylight saving time automatically" option grayed out

I live in Texas and we use Central Standard Time (CST) but the option to use daylight savings time is grayed out.. any suggestions?

From your recent description, it seems like the issue is confined to Word documents. If true, then follow the steps below and check if it helps.

• Launch Word application.
• Go to File Menu and select Options.
• In the pop-up dialog box, towards the left pane, select Save.
• Under Default location file, browse the location you want to save.
• Check if the issue persists.
