Windows 10: Why is Screen going to huge font when opening a PDF - just started?

When opening a document PDF on dual screens, my screen 1 goes weird - very large icons and font, so much so that it no longer fits the screen, while the document opens fine on screen 2 - and all other open pages are fine on screen 2. When it is in this state I have gone into Display settings and Screen 2 is a small box against screen 1 box but there is no where to amend this? I do not know why it just started but I tried to make adjustments as everytime I opened a document I would loose the heading strip from both Adobe and all Internet pages?

Trouble Opening PDF's

• Do you get similar error when you open the PDF file in Adobe reader?

Check if you are facing similar issue in Edge browser.



Step 1: Open PDF file in Adobe reader and check if you are facing similar issue.



To open PDF file directly from Adobe reader, follow the steps below:

• Open Adobe application and click on Edit.
• Click on Preferences and select Internet.
• Uncheck Display PDF in Browser option and check if you are able to open the PDF file without getting the error code.

Step 2: If you are able to open PDF file in Adobe reader, I suggest you to
Turn off Internet Explorer,
enable it again and check if the issue is resolved.

I found these steps in this forum from back in 2010:

Step 1:

I would suggest you to try these steps and check whether it helps in fixing your issue.

Open font settings by clicking on start, click on control panel, and then click on appearance and personalization, under fonts click on change font settings. And select the font size.

Step 2:

If you’re trying to change windows font size then please follow the steps below:

To change Windows fonts

1. Open Appearance Settings by clicking the Start button and then clicking Control Panel. In the search box, type window color, and then click Change window colors and
metrics.

2. In the Item list, click the part of Windows that you want to change the font for. For example, if you want to change the menu font, click Menu in the list. Then, make any of the following changes:

· In the Font list, click the font that you want to use.

· In the Size list, click the font size that you want.

· In the Color list, click the font color that you want.

3. Repeat these steps for each item that you want to make changes to, and then click OK.

• Check if you are able to view the fonts in documents.

• Download the font type you want to install.
• Open Control Panel.
• Click on fonts.
• Now, drag and drop the downloaded fonts in the font’s folder.
