Windows 10: Why is task manager showing duplicate processes, I have well over 50 Service Host...

Why is task manager showing duplicate processes, I have well over 50 Service Host applications taking more than 20MBs of RAM. This doesn't seem normal. It looks like there is a RAM data leak in the background logic loop.Please advise and do the needful.

Hello, for some time I have been experiencing a problem with duplicate processes in the task manager, i.e. not every process is duplicated, e.g. I experience two processes

COM surrogate 2x

CefSharp.BrowserSubprocess (32bit) 2x

NVIDIA Container x5

NVIDIA Share x3

Runtime Broker x2

Usermode Font Driver Host x2

these were processes classified as background processes

while in the so-called windows processes, e.g.

console window host x2

Service host: local service (limited to network) x4

Service host: x3 web service

e.t.c

I do not know if it should look like this, the antivirus did not detect anything, while using this computer, I only downloaded trusted programs and did not go to suspicious sites and it is very likely that I did not notice it before and it is normal and I care about it so please give an opinion in this case

all these system processes like "COM surrogate" have normal locations as they should be, so it's not a virus, but a possible system error

Strange duplicate processes in task manager

In task manager, I see many windows services and apps with duplicate processes listed.

I know some duplicates are normal, but this is up twice the amount of duplicates(varied) for a large number of processes inconsistently. I can't tell if it's some new windows feature, or a real virus.

I previously had a virus that was removed by a random malicious software removal tool update. I'm afraid there are still some remnants in there.

Should I be concerned about these duplicates?

Deleting Service Host: Local Service Processes on Task Manager

Service host or svchost.exe is a system process that hosts multiple Windows services in the Windows NT family of operating systems.operation.
Svchost.exe is essential in the implementation of shared service processes, where a number of services can share a process in order to reduce resource consumption.Having said that, it is not recommended end it on the Task Manager.
