Windows 10: Why is the Appdata directory visible on one of my computers but not two other computers I...

Hi, my name is Pat Maloney. I recently copied all of the data and applications from an older computer which worked very well but I have two questions. I have three laptops and my two older laptops do not display the Appdata directory in File Explorer but I can get there by typing C:\Pat Maloney\Appdata. The newer computer displays C:\Pat Maloney\Appdata.Also, if I go to This PC OS C: my username is patma on my two newest computers but on my oldest computer my user name is Pat Maloney.I am Administrator on all three laptops.Is this abbreviated user name a problem?Thanks!

OneDrive Storage Over Multiple Computers

Issue:

• I have multiple computers running Windows 10
• Each computer is linked to same Microsoft account
• I have Office365 with 1TB of storage.
• On each computer I save files to OneDrive

BUT

• Not all files on OneDrive are visible to all my computers, nor are they all visible on the OneDrive website.
• Example: A directory called Fiction is visible on OneDrive from computer A, but that directory cannot be seen on any other computer, nor on onedrive.live.com.

Question:

• How can I make all files on OneDrive visible to share with all computers registered to the same Microsoft account?

 

Active Directory Computers list

Hello,

I am trying to add an organizational unit to the active directory I created on my windows server 2016. However, I realize that there is no computer in the active directory computer list on my DNS domain
(Server Manager > Tools > AD Users and Computer > domain > Computers). I did set up ADDS, DNS and DHCP through server manager. Changed the Network settings, changed the system name. Every possible thing has been tried, but I fail to understand why there is
no computer in the active directory computer list on my DNS domain. The Domain name and the full computer name (Name.DomainName.com) does show up in the system properties. Please help me out.

 

Huge Number of files in AppData\Roaming\Microsoft directory

I have a similar folder but it contains only a handful of files. You can do this to find out a little more:

1. Mark the first code line below. It extends over two lines.
2. Press Ctrl+C to copy it.
3. Click the Windows orb.
4. Press Ctrl+V to paste the code line, then press Enter.
5. You will see a screen full of files, with the most recent files on top. Make a note of some file sizes and date stamps.
6. Repeat Steps 1 . . 5 with the second code line. You will again see a file list, this time with the oldest files on top.
7. Report what you saw.
