Why is the IntelR CoreTM i7-7660U CPU @ 2.50GHz 2.50 GHz processor in my Surface Pro not supported by Windows11?

Intel Core i7-6700K CPU @ 4.00 Ghz processor Windows 11 Compatible?

I just ran Microsoft's "PC Health Check" on my desktop pc to check for Windows 11 compatibility and it says the processor doesn't meet the required specifications. I have Intel Core i7-6700K CPU @ 4.00 Ghz processor. Everything else passed the testing.

However, when I check the processor requirements, the Intel Core i7-6700K CPU is listed as meeting the requirements. Can someone explain this?

I am running Windows 10 Pro, version 21H1, 64 bit, with 32 GB ram.

whooo i gained performance obviously not b/c of the patch but it doesnt look like it has any impact on performance???

 

Surface Pro 2 starts using 50%+ CPU when Type Cover is removed

Every time I detach my Surface Pro 2 Type Cover, CPU usage goes to over 50%. Most CPU is being used by the Windows Driver Foundation - User-mode Driver Framework Host Process and Service Host: Local System (Network Restricted) (15) tasks. These only come
into view when the Type Cover is detached, but they keep using CPU even when the keyboard is re-attached.

At the same time, if I open Device Manager, I see the device list being continually refreshed

The only way to clear this issue is to reboot or to carefully kill the Windows Driver Foundation - User-mode Driver Framework Host Proces. What it means is that going in and out of Tablet Mode on the Surface Pro 2 by taking off the keyboard is not viable
for standard users, since the fans soon turn on and the battery drains at an alarming rate.

This issue needs an urgent fix.
