Windows 10: Why is the Microsoft Authenticator nonsense absolute rubbish that makes no sense?

Why is the Microsoft Authenticator nonsense absolute rubbish that makes no sense? It asks me to have the authenticator app on my phone yet I already do. It then asks me to verify using the app but does absolutely nothing. No codes are given and there are zero prompts. Nothing goes to my email addresses any of them. It is ABSOLUTELY USELESS.

Why exactly is ATi considered be better at HDMI?

I plug my HDMI cable into the card, then into my TV. Those are the steps that I have to do. All the steps you list make absolutely no sense to me.
