    Why is the only option for a default app, only for MS store and why doesn't MS fix this?


    I have complained about this before in Windows 8, but the option to pick a default app only lists for MS Store apps. Also, if I choose by file type it lists only for MS STORE apps. Also, when I try the OPEN WITH route, there is no option at all for that extension. There are even LOCKED discussions with complaints about this issue back when Windows 10 came out on the Microsoft discussion page, that offer no solution. I personally , made Chrome Portable my default app, through registry manipulation, but when I go to change it for URL, the only option that pops up is Default browser, which j

    i lost my ms apps when trying to fix the ms store?

    as you can see i have lost the icon for ms apps and can't open them because i tried a command in windows PowerShell (Get-AppXPackage | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register "$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml"} ) that should have fixed ms store not installing apps, and im using windows 10.

    Uninstalling MS Store apps?

    I uninstalled them (Revo Uninstaller) but in MS Store all the apps are still on the list... with "Install" button next to them. I want to remove them from that list.

    MS Photos app is notlisted as an option

    Running the latest Windows 10 64 bit . I have the Windows Photos App installed under apps but when I try to change to this as a default it is not listed as an option. Trying to open .JPG pics from camera. Very frustrating. WHY is this app not listed when
    selecting a default app to open .JPG pictures ? This is so very frustrating. MS... please make your stuff work together seamlessly ! help Please.
