Windows 10: Why is the Remote Desktop app on my Windows 11 Laptop? I thought Win11 Home doesn't come...

I thought I asked this question a long time ago but apparently notthe Windows Remote Desktop Connections app exists on my Windows 11 Home system, but I thought Remote Desktop wasn't available on Home devices?I thought it was only Pro versions that have access to the Remote Desktop app.to be clear, I do not use anything involving Remote Desktop so I wouldn't have gone out of my way to get it at any point, nor do I think it's suspicious. I'm just wondering is the Remote Desktop app SUPPOSED to be on Home? are you just unable to do anything with it? I can also toggle Remote settings in Advanced S

1. Are you using the Microsoft remote desktop app?
   

If you are using the Microsoft remote desktop app downloaded from
Microsoft store then, I suggest you to follow the steps to
fix problems with apps from Microsoft Store.



If the issue still persists with the Microsoft remote desktop app, then you can contact the support team by going to the

link and scrolling down to the bottom and clicking on
Microsoft remote desktop support under the Publisher info.



However, if you are using the Remote desktop connection, which comes pre-installed with Windows 10, then I suggest you to please post your question in the
TechNet forum.

Remote desktop client broken on Windows 11 after update

1.Check System Updates.

In addition to Windows Update, ensure your laptop's drivers and firmware are up to date, as outdated components can cause unexpected issues.

2.Disable hardware acceleration.

This is a known fix for some users. To do this, open the Remote Desktop app's Settings > Show advanced settings. Uncheck "Use hardware acceleration" and click OK.

3.Change the Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP) version.

To do this, open the Remote Desktop app and go to Settings > Show advanced settings. Select a different RDP version from the drop-down list and click OK.

4.Set a static IP address for your remote computer.
