Windows 10: Why is the video file size way bigger than the actual size, and why are they unplayable?

I tried to move some of my old videos to my laptop from my android phone via the type c cable. And it was a kind of damaged one, so it disconnected during the transfer. Some of the videos ended up okay, but I think a few got corrupted. Yes, I know those were some rookie mistakes. Now, those video files show 125 GB in size, but the size on disk is 60 KB. My drive doesn't have that much space, so yeah, that ain't right. I can't open the files. However, I can move them to other storage devices. However, size stays the same, so 3 files fill up a 32 GB flash drive. Are there any solutions to solv

Storage showing as double the actual SSD size

Running Windows 10 Home 20H2 (Build 19042.964) on an AMD based Windows Surface Laptop 4 with 512GB SSD.

Even though it has a 512GB SDD as confirmed by both disk management and file explorer, settings -> system -> Storage reports the size as 951GB! I have searched but struggling to discover how to get it to report the real size.

Per the image below it shows

• 553GB used - bigger than the size of the SDD
  519GB in system & reserved

System and reserved breaks down per this screenshot




Have tried various options including disk cleanup, SFC and DSIM to get it to report the correct size but to no avail. Any suggestions on how to correct this much appreciated?

 

Good way to reduce video size without compromising quality?

My camcorder records videos at 1080p however a short 4 minute video is a whopping 550MB.

What would you suggest to compress or otherwise reduce the size of the file without reducing the quality?

The format is MTS.

For us to address you concern, we suggest following these steps on how to increase the text size of toolbars, application labels and folder names:

• On Cortana search, type display settings.
• Choose Display settings from the list.
• Click on Advanced display settings.
• Under Related settings, select on Advanced sizing of text and other items.
• Under Change only the text size, change specific items on your preferred text size then click on
  Apply.
