I've had this problem for a while know and never knew the fix, I've been assuming it has to do with my computer's wifi card but it's odd to me that my wifi card is the issue.I have already attempted disabling window's wireless adapters but still have the issueMy Specsrocessor: AMD Ryzen 7 2700x Eight-Core Processor 3.70 GHzRam: 16GBOS Name: Microsoft Windows 11 HomeMotherboard: Gigabyte Technology Co., Ltd.GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 TiPlease help with this issue.

Wifi speed considerable slower compared to ethernet

Hi,

the only thing that has changed is the position of the PC while the components of the PC have remained the same as before.

Very thick walls or floors are a barrier to the WiFi signal resulting in slower speeds and ping spikes. The WiFi connection works quite well when the router and wireless devices are located on the same floor of the house.

I have had to move my PC and can no longer use an ethernet connection and I am finding that my wifi speeds and ping are much worse. Not sure why this is or how I can improve this. I’m guessing it has something to do with my network adaptor - 802.11n Wireless LAN Card. When I run a wifi speed test on my PC, I get 60 Mbps download and upload, but if I do it on my phone in the same room I get more than double the download speed and a bit larger upload speed. My ping also seems to fluctuate when playing games causing me to lag out sometimes.

Any help and advice is appreciated.

 

WiFi Broadband Speed on laptop dropped and is now slower than other devices

I have fibre to premises broadband from Vodafone and the speed is 200 mbps since March this year. In the first few months, the WiFi speed was the same as with an Ethernet cable connected if I was close to the router. Recently, the speed is much slower
than that. Sometimes I got 110 mbps, 80 mbps or even 20 mbps. Other devices can pick up 200 mbps or higher when I tested them at the same time. How to resolve this problem please?
