Windows 10: Why is the wordpad on windows 11 such a bad copy of the wordpad used on windows 10?

I have just bought a new Lenovo Ideapad windows 11. The fonts look like a copy of a copy of a copy and so on. I have hundreds of rich text files written in Chinese characters and English. Having uploaded them to this new laptop I was suprised to find that characters written in the old Simsum size 12 now look as if they are written in size 10 - they are bitty and badly formed. As the English and Pinyin is written in Calibri font in a different size it will take me months if not years to change every Chinese word into a larger font at least size 14 to be acceptable and then to change all the E

Find Wordpad in Windows 10

I typed WordPad in the Search box, also in the Cortana box.

Both resulted in a list of internet sites on the problem of finding WordPad in Windows 10.

This was NOT helpful.

Can someone give the steps on finding WordPad in Windows 10.

Microsoft seems to be very consumer-unfriendly. It cannot make a product that is consumer-friendly.

Windows 10 full of apps, that is very unhelpful. Too ad-oriented. And we have to pay for Windows 10 as part of the purchase price of the laptop.

 

Wordpad

Windows 10 still have a Wordpad on it.

1. To launch it, click on Start Button.

2. Navigate on the list all the way to letter W and click on Windows Accessories.

3. Inside it is the Wordpad application.

Aside from that, you can also launch Wordpad using the run command.

1. Press Windows key + R

2. On the run command, type wordpad and press Enter or click on OK.

Wordpad

Please provide some additional information, so that we can assist you better.

What exactly you mean when you say ‘deleted’, are you referring to the application which was showing in the Start menu or the application was uninstalled from your computer?

WordPad is a basic word processor that is included with almost all the versions of Microsoft Windows.

I would suggest you to follow below mentioned steps.

1. Click on Start menu and type ‘WordPad' in the taskbar search and click on the result. This will open WordPad.
   
2. If you’re not able to open WordPad, Press
   Windows + R and type ‘Write’ and hit enter.
   
3. You will WordPad application launching on the
   screen.
   
4. Navigate to C:\windows\system32\ and look for a ‘write’ (File).
   
5. You will see the application now.
