Windows 10: Why is there a blinking flash when Edge opens after the most recent update, and web pages...

Since the most recent update to Edge, there is a quick flash when I open the browser, and pages are loading much more slowly than usual. When I checked here I saw questions about this since it has happened before, but I've never had it happen to me, and I couldn't find any solutions listed that worked. Did anyone ever figure out how to correct this? Thanks so much for any ideas, or hopefully, known cures.BTW, I ran the sfc /scannow and found nothing corrupted.

Edge not working with flash web pages

This issue has been around for awhile with various helpful suggestions as to how to fix it. There was an update today from Microsoft for adobe flash but to no avail the problem still exists. Can someone from the Edge browser help division please fix this.
I want to use Edge instead of chrome but can't until this is fixed.

Blinking and Flashing

By the time I got your email the blinking/flashing had stopped. But then, a few days later there was another update performed and the blinking/flashing started again .I tried the methods you listed above but to no avail. The blinking/flashing continues.
The worst part is the drop-down menus on my page disappear before I can use them. Should I just go back to Windows 8?
