    Why is there is a 4inch dead zone on the righthand side of my main monitor ?


    I recently built a new PC, everything has been going well with it but today ive noticed a deadzone in which i can do nothing in.This zone takes up 4 inches top to bottom of my main monitor.Ive looked at some fixes for this issue but none have worked so far.

    I'm sorry to hear about the issue with your display. It sounds like you've already tried several troubleshooting steps. Here are a few additional suggestions that might help resolve the dead zone on your screen:

    Since the problem reoccurs after a few days, it might be a hardware issue. If possible, connect your device to an external monitor or TV to check if the dead zone appears there as well. If it doesn't, it could indicate a problem with the internal display hardware.

    Hi Dave,

    Yes, it is in the middle of the screen. Only about roughly 2in. is clickable. I will try what you suggested and get back to you soon.

    Change monitor resolution above dead zone

    My monitor recently broke, and the right part of the monitor is displaying gibberish, is there any way that I could make windows ignore that zone and stop the image left of that area?
