Windows 10: Why is there no BST showing in the drop down list of utc times for London?

I live in a timezone that does not have daylight saving - ever! so my local time has a greyed out DST icon. Is this why I cannot set a second clock to BST when I try to set the timezone for London? MY London time is one hour slow as they have BST now and there is no BST shown for London or anywhere in the UK on the drop down list?

Time constantly showing 8hrs ahead even though my time zone is set to UTC (london)

Please help! The time on my clock is showing the incorrect time no matter what I try.

I have set my time zone correctly to UTC (London) and it makes no difference. If I however change my time zone to UTC -8hrs it shows the correct time for London.

I have tried updating from the internet time and this makes no difference. If I change the clock manually and then update from the internet time using time.nist.gov it updates to the incorrect time.

I have changed the regional settings and language settings. I don't think it would make any difference but I have made sure my Windows account is set to London time zone as well.

I have searched for any other setting but can not find anything else that could be wrong.

Why is the London Time Zone still working on BST instead of GMT?

I think this is a daylight saving time issue. Now it's winter, I've set to Coordinated Universal Time and everything's OK. Will have to watch to see if Daylight saving is 'cancelled' and need to change back to UTC London.

 

Cortana UTC Time Is Incorrect

If you right click on the time at the right end of the taskbar you will have an opportunity to adjust the date and time. However, I checked that and something is screwy about the zone settings list. I live in Florida, USA -- Eastern Time Zone but the settings say (UTC-08:00) Pacific Time (US & Canada). It seems something is amiss in the program. I'm going to post a query about that. Meanwhile, if your time display looks OK I suggest you leave it alone. Windows 10 is full of holes and I believe that MS will fix them eventually. I also believe in world peace and the Tooth Fairy.
