Windows 10: Why is there no choice for "headphones only" on Beats audio?

I haven't used headphones for nearly 3 years. I just tried to use them but there is no option for headphones only as there had been the last time I used them. I don't understand why music would come through the speakers and headphones at the same time. I use headphones so I won't disturb other people!I have an older computer. It's a Pavilion P7-1154. I just had Windows 10 reinstalled because when I called for a problem with my printer the tech somehow uninstalled Windows 10. The Windows 10 just installed is actually Windows 10 Pro. I assume that has nothing to do with the fact that the choice

Beats Audio not turning on

My Beats audio is not turning on when i plug my headphones in.I know my headphones does work. I went to the Beats Audio listed under setting and i am unable to turn it on. It just reads OFF. please help

This issue may occur due to the out dated driver. Try the below method and check.

Method 1.

I would suggest you to run Windows sound troubleshooter and check if it helps. Follow the below steps:

• 
  Type troubleshoot on the search bar and click on
  troubleshooting.
  
• 
  Click on Hardware and Sound and click on
  Playing audio.
  
• 
  Now click on Advanced button and click on
  Next.
  

If the issue still persist try the below steps provided.

Method 2.

I recommend you to update the beat audio driver and check. Follow the below information provided.

• 
  Press Windows key + X and click on
  Device manager.
  
• 
  Locate for Universal Serial Bus Controller and expand it.
  
• 
  Right click on the beat driver and click on update.

Beats Audio in HTC 8S

m about to buy htc 8s as it looks stunnigly cool....

i love the beats audio function on it but m unsure whether the beats audio amplifier is also compatible with other audiophile headphones....

i have sennheiser, sony, skullcandy and even audio technica headphones........

bt will they work btr wit beats audio???

does anyone know whether the beats audio amp improves audio functionality with other headphones??

some ppl claim its just a software thing nd works only with

beats headphones...

plz come up with appropriate answer....
