Windows 10: Why is Update running despite being paused?

Hi. I've been coping with this for two years, and I've finally had enough of it. Why is Windows updating for over half an hour, taking 100% of my HDD and preventing me from doing anything even Event Viewer crashed the first time I opened it, even though updates are paused until May 16th it was paused A MONTH ago, so no, I did not pause it today? I have three computers bought from different vendors and with different hardware, and I see this behavior in every one of them. I have seen this same behavior on the computer of friends. Method 1: Windows 10 has a built-in troubleshooter to check and fix issues with Update troubleshooter. I would suggest you to run this troubleshooter to check if the issue is
with your Windows update.

Refer these steps:

• Press Windows key +X, select Control panel

• Change the view by option on the top right to Large icons
• Click on troubleshooting and click on the view all option on the left panel
• Run the Windows update troubleshooter.

Method 2: Hardware Troubleshoot

Windows 10 has a built-in troubleshooter to check and fix issues with power. I would suggest you to run this troubleshooter to check if the issue is with your Power.
