Windows 10: Why is VLC media player Not opening?

Bruh, im tired of specific apps that play videos or music not openNow this happens, VLC does not open, i need it to test video quality and what the music or sound sounds like, I cant use the new media player as it does not provide a friendly enviroment to me and worst of all, i need this app,When i open VLC, it opens for a billisecond and closes.If im installing from the microsoft store and thats the reason idk what is.

To safely Uninstall VLC Media Player from Windows 10 follow next steps:

• Click on the Start button, and then select “Settings”



• Click on “System”



• Select “Apps& Features” in the left-hand sidebar



• Scroll down to locate VLC Media Player

• Click “Uninstall” and then confirm the uninstallation in the pop-up window by clicking“Uninstall”

Search for the components of VLC Media Player

• Click Start and then enter Regedit in the search box, Windows 10 users can type Regedit in the search bar and then enter the Registry Editor



• Hold down Ctrl+ F keys to launch the Find box. Put in CLV Media Player

• Choose the registries related to VLC Media Player and then delete them all.

• Note that this steps can trigger problems, thus to prevent problems occurring, you’d better back up the registry so that you can restore it if problems occurred.

Step 4: Show hidden files and remove the leftovers

• Click Start> Control Panel> Folder Options, choose the View Tab.

• Check the “Show hidden files and folders” in the Advanced Settings and then select “OK”.

Search for the leftovers of VLC Media Player in the Search Bar by entering VLC Media Player, and then delete the leftovers.

VLC Media Player

The safest way to uninstall this application is through Apps & Features:

- Open Settings

- Select Apps (opens Apps & Features)

- Scroll down and select VLC media player from the list

- Select Uninstall

- Reboot your computer after the uninstall completes

Media Player

Assuming your using Windows 10:

Method A

1. Install another media player like VLC media player.
2. Go into Settings
3. Apps.
4. Default Apps.
5. Then you can choose VLC media player.

Method B

1. Install another media player like VLC media Player.
2. Right click on your media file (mp3 for example), and either go down to "Open With" and "Choose App" or click on "Properties" and then "Change" to choose the VLC media Player.
   
   (You will have to do this for all your other media extensions (mp4, avi, etc)).
