    I bought a new computer. right away, i HATE that **** up widgets that is always in my way irritating me with **** i dont care about. I have never looked at any of it because I did not ask for it and do not want it. I plugged in a flash drive to go through old records and unplugged it. later, I turn on my computer and the **** up widgets has the names and files from my flash drive copied so they can be looked at without the flash drive. what the ****? do I have to do a recovery to get thoswe files off my computer? where the **** are they being stored and why. I never set anything to automatical

    Files Omitted When Copying "Documents" to Flash Drive

    Using Windows Explorer (Windows 10) I click and drag my Documents folder to a USB flash drive, with exFAT file system.

    It copies for 4-5 hours. (That was expected; I have a lot of video and images.)

    I display Properties for both original and flash drive versions of Documents.

    The flash drive has 21 GB in use, out of 256. The original contains over 75 GB.

    Looking at what's missing, I find many user files have simply not copied. I can find nothing to indicate why some files copied, and some didn't.

    Thanks in advance for any help you might offer.

    Copying movie to Flash Drive

    Hi Todd,

    One way on how to save and move files to a flash drive is by using the File Explorer in Windows 10. To assist you with your concern, to save your movie file to a flash drive, we suggest that you follow these steps:

    • Connect your USB flash drive to your PC.
    • Navigate to the folder or location where you save your movie files.
    • Right-click on the movie file and select
      Copy      .
    • Right-click on the Start menu, and select
      File Explorer.
    • On the left-pane, double-click on This PC.
    • Double-click on the drive letter that correspond to your USB flash drive.
    • Right-click and select Paste.
    • Wait for the process to complete the transfer.
    • Once you’re done, you can safely remove your USB flash drive.
