Windows 10: Why is Win 11 Ignoring my settings for power & sign-in?

I have 2 major issues with my new Windows 11 laptop. 1 I set up the power settings to NEVER turn off the system/disks/etc when plugged in. However, after being away from the computer for some unknown amount of time, it shuts down anyway, causing me to miss AV database updates, scans, and scheduled disk backups. It is always on house power, not battery when this happens. Why is Windows ignoring my setting here?2 I have the setting to never require a log in after I've been away for a while. However, after being away from the computer for some unknown amount of time, it shuts down anyway, causing me to miss AV database updates, scans, and scheduled disk backups. 2) I have the setting to never require a log in after I've been away for a while. I despise having to sign in all the time anyway, and want to eliminate - with a passion - all the security option I hate, since I never had them until I got this laptop (and I go back before DOS 1.0). However, if I don't use my laptop for a few days, I have to sign in again anyway. Once again, Windows 11 is totally ignoring this setting.

How do I get Windows to stop ignoring my settings?

• Did you make any changes to your computer? I dont know.. what kind of changes are you talking about. I only added software.. like Norton Security and a few free MSFT apps.
• Which Build are you currently in? I dont know..probably the latest one. How do i determine "the build"?? I always update windows and pretty sure this is up to date here.
• Which troubleshooting steps did you try? Tried everything that was suggested,..power troubleshooter, update graphics card, set power settings to default, and other things.. nothing worked. Has been a problem for many months.
  How do i do this clean boot? I will need instructions for these things..step by step. i am tired of this machine ignoring the power settings. Need this fixed.

To better assist you regarding your concern, have you tried running the Power troubleshooter? Power troubleshooter is used when you are having issues with the power settings of your computer. It will automatically troubleshoot Windows power plans and attempt
to resolve your concern. To do so, kindly follow the steps below:

• Press Windows key + X
• Click Control Panel
• Click View all
• Click Power
• Click Next

By then, it will now start the troubleshooting.
