I was sent an zipped folder containing spss output with extension .spv and window 11 keeps converting it into a .bin file. I cannot open my file even though my default app for .spv is set at SPSS? Please advise!

Windows 10 my jpegs. open with paint. Is that normal? It was a photo and opened in paint. I want to see the page of all the file extensions to see what they are opening. Somehow my friend has changed her DIP program to opening with pngs and thy won't open at all. she needs to change them back to what they were. I have looked online anf found nothing that helps...too complicated. Could I please get a step by step 1, 2, 3 etc list to help her change her program extension to the right one. Please and thank you.

  3. File extension *.docx

    Hi Randy,

To change the file extension when saving a document in Word 2013, you may follow the steps below:

    • Click on File; then, select Options from the list.
    • In the Word Options window, choose Save.
    • Under Save files in this format, select *.doc from the list.
    • Hit OK button to confirm and save the changes.

If ever your Word 2013 application is not recognizing the changes you have made, you may restart the application; however, if the issue still persists, we suggest that you repair it. To do this, see this
    link.

We would appreciate it if you could get back to us and provide us your feedback.

  4. why is Window 11 changing the extension of a file received?

    Find Files with Multiple Extensions

In addition to the suggestions you received:

    Please try this search query:

    *.???.??? NOT kind:folder

But the drawback is that it doesn't list files whose extension has more than 3 characters -- e.g., .jpeg, .tiff, .jpeg.exe, etc. In that case, you can run this in addition:

    *.????.??? NOT kind:folder
